All Saints Church of England Primary and Nursery School

All Saints' Sporting Heroes

Across the school many of our children attend and represent external sports clubs and teams. We love to celebrate the success of those children and share their experiences because they just might inspire your child to want to get involved.

If your child is interested in joining a sports team or taking part in an individual club then speak to Mr Foot or alternatively click on one of the links below or visit our Sporting Links: External Sports Clubs section.

Sporting Heroes 2024/25

 Raya (Year 4)

Raya has been practicing gymnastics at the Summerfields Gymnastics club for around 2 years. She trains for 10 hours a week and when she competes she has to perform on the floor, the isometric bar, the vault and the beam.

In October 2024, Raya competed in two separate county wide competitions and won all-around (a competition where you are judged on all 4 disciplines) Gold in both.

Raya says:

"Gymnastics is a fun sport, it makes me feel happy and helps to build confidence. I have made some new friends and lots of new skills. It is a lot of hard work but the competitions are a great way to show off your skills. Floor is my favorite discipline because of the dance element"

"My Sporting hero is Simone Biles because she is a great gymnast and has worked really hard to win all the medals she has won."
